I will try and make this as easily as possible to add Flash detection code to all of your posts in your blog.
Step 1: Navigate to your template for your blog. See here for information on blooger.com templates.
Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of my blog and click on the text in the “Flash Detection 8 Detection code”. This will select all of the code. Then right click and selct “Copy” to copy the selected text to your clipboard.
Step 3: In your template code we want to put the copied code somewhere in-between the html head tags. I put this directly after entry in my template code. Once you have found where you want to put the copied code, left click to place the cursor. Then right click and select “Paste” to copy the code form your clipboard to your template code.
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom of my blog and click on the text in the ” replace code”. This will select all of the code. Then right click and selct “Copy” to copy the selected text to your clipboard.
Step 5: Find the tag in your template code. Select text and then right click and select “Paste”.
Step 6: Publish your template.
Now users to your site should see the video or be prompted to update their Flash plug-in.

Frank,
I don’t know if you are still following through on this blog, but I have a suggestion. In addition to the Flash detection, how about a module for Express Install that people could put into their blog software? I would prefer TypePad…
The reason is that I have a video blog with about 20 .swf files that I made with Flix Pro in Flash 8. But the general public, particularly Windows IE users, are not updating to Flash 8. I have a lot of anecdotal data for this as well as results from my system stats. Flash 8 may be great, and I think it is, but I am getting killed on the Player. And a lot of others are, too. At least those with sites for general public.
People are:
1. afraid to leave the site
2. not reading instructions
3. updating but it does not take
4. confused because they are looking for a program when they have a plugin.
It’s a mess!
You can see my videos on http://hestablog.com
Thanks!
